# Moving from a long to a short position and vice-versa

DeFi Saver offers users the option to "flip" their position and move from a long position to a short one, and vice-versa.

This is done in one transaction and a couple of clicks:

The first step would be navigating to the Aave dashboard on DeFi Saver:

From there, click on the "Shift" tab, and under "Actions", choose "Position Flip":

This will open a pop-up window that'll pre-prepare your transaction by setting up a full switch of your collateral and debt asset.

On top of this, you'll also be able to choose your preferred Exchange route and slippage limit.

To execute the position flip, just click on the "Flip" button.
