Aave on Linea

Aave is currently the fastest growing DeFi protocol on Linea Mainnet, with a TVL of $863.36 million as of September 9, 2025 (per defillama.com)

Aside from Aave's overall reputation as the go-to lending protocol in DeFi, its growth on Linea was also boosted by a number of incentives:

  • Boosted USDC Yield - Users who supply USDC on Aave Linea get a 2.4% boost on their deposit, while borrowers receive a 2.4% discount on the base Aave variable rate. These incentives are limited to $5,000 combined balance per use (supply + borrow). These rewards are claimed via Incentra.

  • LINEA incentives - By providing liquidity to WETH, USDC, USDT lending pools on Aave, users are eligible for LINEA rewards. The reward mechanics are based on pool TVL vs. target TVL and the user's time-weighted average vault share. Adaptive boosts when pools are under-utilized.

  • Supplying weETH on Aave Linea makes users eligible for incentives through Merkl, as per ether.fi

Aside from Aave, LINEA incentives also include:

  • Etherex (USDC/USDT, USDC/ETH, WTBC/ETH, REX/ETH pairs - including extra $REX rewards)

  • Euler (WETH, USDC, USDT markets curated by EulerDAO/Gauntlet, Re7 Labs, and Zerolend. Either deposited directly or on Euler Earn.)

Claim schedule:

  • Locked (view only) before October 27, 2025

  • 40% unlocks on October 27, 2025

  • The remaining 60% unlocks linearly over 45 days

Aave Linea on DeFi Saver

Functionally, Aave Linea offers the same UX as the Aave dashboard on any other chain supported by DeFi Saver. This means access to the following suite of tools:

  • 1-tx leveraged create of a borrow position

  • 1-tx Close (repaying debt and withdrawing collateral in one transaction)

  • Boost (1-tx leveraging of an already opened borrow position by incurring more debt, swapping it to collateral and supplying it)

  • Repay (1-tx debt repayment by withdrawing collateral, swapping it to debt, and paying back debt)

All of these features are available for positions on both an EOA wallet, and Safe smart wallets.
