# EVC (Ethereum Vault Connector)

The Ethereum Vault Connector (EVC) is a free, open-source tool from Euler Labs that makes it easier to build and connect lending markets in DeFi.

Essentially, it's a foundation for creating custom crypto lending and borrowing products by helping crypto lending vaults talk to each other and work together.

It lets developers build new DeFi products, like lending apps or stablecoins, without starting from scratch. It’s ungoverned, has no fees, and is designed to be a public tool for everyone.

Some of the possibilities with EVC:

* Vaults can use each other’s deposits as collateral, so users don’t need to move their assets around to borrow or lend.
* Markets can be created with any token, such as standard tokens, NFTs, real world assets, or even uncollateralized loans.
* Set up smart features like automatic trades, custom liquidations, or position managers.
* Combine multiple actions (like lending and borrowing) into one transaction to save time and gas fees.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.defisaver.com/protocols/euler-v2/evc-ethereum-vault-connector.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
