DeFi Saver is a super-apparrow-up-right that, similarly to Summer.fi, offers users tools that work on top of existing lending protocols that expand your position-management possibilities.

These include, but are not limited to:

In essence, you're still going to be efficiently managing your DeFi position as you did on Summer.fi, just using our suite of tools and interface.

Our app has been live since 2019, with our signature automation tools keeping users safe without issues for those 6 years. DeFi Saver has been battle-tested through numerous volatile market periods, so we can proudly say that our tools are extremely reliable.

Of course, we also did our due diligence - as our tools have gone through multiple audits over the years. All of these audits are detailed in this Knowledge Base article.arrow-up-right

Do I need to migrate my Summer.fi position to DeFi Saver?

Depending on when you opened your Summer.fi position - it might either be on a regular DSProxy Smart Wallet, or on Summer's proprietary Smart Wallet.

Both DSProxy and Summer's Smart Wallet are supported by DeFi Saver. However, our automation optionsarrow-up-right, TxSaverarrow-up-right and Notifyarrow-up-right do not work with Summer's Smart Wallets, so you would need to migrate to a Safe Smart Walletarrow-up-right in order to gain access to them.

This also means that, if you had automations active on Summer, you would need to migrate to a Safe wallet in order to access and use DeFi Saver's automations. They will not carry over and work with our app from the get-go.

If your position is on a regular DSProxy, then you'll be able to use all features on DeFi Saver without the need to migrate.

The first step would be to connect to DeFi Saver with the owner wallet of your Summer Smart Wallet.

Once that's done, you'll get a prompt on the Portfolio page that your automation needs fixing.

This flow takes you to the automation that's currently not working. Here, scroll down to "Choose Safe wallet" where, by default, creating a new Safe wallet will be selected. This means that your position will be migrated to a new Safe smart wallet.

Once you click "Enable" - the position be migrated, and the automation will now be working.

After you've signed the transaction and the migration is done, your position will now be on a Safe wallet that is owned by your EOA.

You're able to access this wallet directly by going to the Safe app (app.safe.global) and connecting your EOA wallet there.

From there on out, you'll be able to manage your DeFi position using DeFi Saver's entire suite of tools across all of our supported protocols and chains.

This is not DeFi Saver's proprietary Smart Wallet. These wallets belong to Safe - which has become the industry standard Smart Wallet.arrow-up-right

We've defaulted to them specifically because of its mass adoption within the DeFi ecosystem - This ensures that our users are never locked out of their position if DeFi Saver goes down for whatever reason.

Instead, you'll be able to access your position directly from the protocol itself either by connecting to it through the Safe app, or through the protocol directly. You can learn more about this process on this Knowledge Base article.arrow-up-right

Besides the functionality it offers - Safe wallets also offer an additional layer of security for its users, with options such as multisig - which requires multiple wallets to sign any transaction being submitted by that Safe wallet.
