Aave DeFi Explore

Aave DeFi Explore is a tool that lets you research Aave positions in detail, including the option to simulate prices of assets in your borrow position to see how they affect your position's health.

This tool is available for the following chains:

  • Ethereum

  • Arbitrum

  • Optimism

  • Base

  • Linea

  • Plasma

On the home page, users will be able to access stats for the above-mentioned chains, as well as see a live feed of action (supply, withdraw, etc...) as they're taking place across Aave markets.

The available tools/stats on Aave DeFi Explore include:

Market Info:

This page provides you with quick insight into the total supplied/borrowed amounts within a specific Aave market, along with an overview of all available assets and their stats - including:

  • Supplied amount and Supply cap

  • Borrowed amount and Borrow cap

  • Supply/Borrow APY

  • Current asset price

Additionally, you have the option of searching for the asset by typing its name, symbol or address.

Clicking on any of the assets will provide you with even further insight for that specific token:

The added info covers:

  • Supply info, which goes over the available liquidity, max LTV and liquidation threshold

  • Borrow info

  • E-Mode info, which shows all of the available E-Modes for the asset, the change in stats they provide, and whether or not the asset can be placed as both collateral and be borrowed - or just one of the options.

Positions:

The Positions page will first show you some spotlighted positions, which highlights what type of strategy that position is using - for example longing ETH, or using Ethena's Liquid Leverage.

Underneath, you'll be able to see all of the positions that are open within that market, with the option to search for specific positions using a wallet address.

This overview provides some basic information on the positions such as:

  • Owner address

  • Supplied/borrowed amounts

  • Supplied/borrowed assets

  • Health ratio

  • Whether the position has an active E-Mode or not

Once we click on a position, we can get a very detailed overview of it:

This interface is essentially the same UI that DeFi Saver users see when they access their Aave position.

Aside from basic information such as the Safety/Health ratio and the supplied/borrowed amounts - this dashboard shows:

  • The specific E-Mode being used for the position

  • Liquidation ratio/limit

  • Borrow limit

  • Borrow power used

  • Net APY

  • Market info, which shows the supply and borrow APY of each supplied/borrowed asset, among other relevant info

  • Position History, which showcases all of the transactions associated with that position - along with an option to export it to CSV

Price Simulator:

This tool can be accessed once you open up a specific position under "Simulate price changes".

By clicking on any of the assets underneath, users can either type in a new price of the asset, or use the slider:

Once a new price is input, the UI will update all of the position metrics to simulate what it would look like if the asset reached the set price:

Feed:

The Feed page will provide you with a live feed of every action being taken within the specific Aave market, including when it happened, the wallet the position belongs to, and what the actual action was.

By clicking on any of the actions, you'll be taken to the Etherscan page for that transaction.

You'll only be taken to Etherscan while on the Ethereum feed - as you change chains, you'll be taken to the chain-specific scanning tool so you can view the transaction in detail.
