# Spark

Spark Protocol is a lending product created by MakerDAO, with the initial DeFi infrastructure, Spark Lend, delivering DeFi loans by obtaining liquidity directly from Maker, with also **sDAI** and SparkConduits as the remaining two infrastructures.

sDAI (Savings Dai) is a yield bearing stablecoin, representing DAI in the Dai Savings Rate (DSR) module, which distributes revenue from the Maker protocol to DAI holders.

SparkConduits allow for direct liquidity from Maker to protocols as part of the overall Maker Allocation System.

In Spark, users can participate as borrowers, suppliers or liquidators. As a borrower you can take out a overcollateralized loan while as a supplier you provide liquidity to a market therefor earn interest based on the type of asset provided and on the market borrowing demand.
