Automatically close longs and shorts at target prices

Whether you're looking to go long or short on an asset, DeFi Saver has automations that suit both needs.

Take Profit

Depending on your goals, Take Profit automatically closes your position when:

  • Your collateral asset reaches the configured maximum price (Long positions)

  • Your debt asset reaches minimum price (Short positions)

Stop Loss

Depending on your goals, Stop Loss automatically closes your position when:

  • Your collateral asset reaches the configured minimum price (Long positions)

  • Your debt asset reaches maximum price (Short positions)

How to set them up:

A classic combo, the Take Profit and Stop Loss options allow you to configure target price points at which your position would be fully closed, with your position's whole current debt cleared using collateral.

These options are typically used as liquidation protection and a way to limit and minimize losses or maximize gains.

To activate Take Profit / Stop Loss, please follow these steps:

  1. Open up your position and navigate to the "Automate" tab:

  2. Choose "Take Profit" or "Stop Loss"

  3. Select your assets, what amount should the collateral asset be under (for Stop Loss) or over (for Take Profit), and whether you want to close to collateral or debt.

  4. Press "Enable"

Automations are not available across every protocol and different requirements (wallet type and minim debt threshold) based on the selected protocol. For more information, please have a look at the related articles.
